Birr Equestrian Centre is located on the outskirts of Birr which is a National Heritage Town.
Nestled amidst 140 acres of picturesque farmland on a traditional working farm and against the stunning backdrop of the Slieve Bloom mountains, Birr Equestrian Centre offers the tranquility of a rural setting yet is situated in close proximity to all local amenities.
The main residence, Kingsborough House, dates from the 19th century and originally served as the house of the agent for the Ely O'Carroll estate. The window through which rents were passed to the collector is still visible on the Western wing.
The historical remains of Fortal Castle, another O'Carroll stronghold, overlook the Eastern boundary of the estate.
